The DDX Pitching Program is set for the individuals who want to get better at pitching, fundamentally and physically. A pitcher’s program is vital for the player’s performance at a high level. This program will allow the pitcher to follow our routine to success.
This is a tentative outline for our DDX Pitching Program:
September 15th-November 15th
DDX Training with Ted Butler
All members of the DDX Pitching program will set up times 3x a week with Operation Athlete trainer Ted Butler. This will provide an opportunity to get a player stronger to sustain a full season pitching and playing workload.
November 15th – December
Flat Ground Training
Pitcher’s will begin their technical training aspect of DDX. Twice a week pitcher’s will come in and work on “flat ground” work along with their continuous 2x a week workout with Ted Butler. Long toss programs will be put into place. This time will be spent working on the mechanical aspect of pitching and refining mechanics for the upcoming bullpen work.
January – February 15th
Bullpen Training
Bullpen work will start at the beginning of the year and go through February 15th. This will allow the pitcher’s to throw to catchers, start to work on game situations, then finish up with “Live BP” sessions to live hitters. Continuous 2x a week workout with Ted Butler.
February 15th – May
In‐Season Maintenance Program
During these months the pitchers will begin to pitch for their school teams. Pitchers will be assigned in‐season workouts along with mental and emotional work for in‐season.
